Mounjaro Shortage in Canada

Week 13 16.02.2024

My journey on Mounjaro has been eventful. Despite successfully shedding 31 lbs in the past 13 weeks, there's currently a shortage of Mounjaro in Canada. Pharmacies are only receiving 5ml doses, while I've been on 7.5ml for the last 2 months and wanted to increase to 10ml. However, the cost is prohibitive as it's not covered yet in Canada, so I've had to settle for 5ml again. Hopefully, by mid-April, Mounjaro will be back in full stock.

I've switched to injecting into my thigh instead of my stomach, which I find more comfortable. Although it still makes me sleepy, I've noticed I'm not as lightheaded. I do my injections on Friday nights after dinner.

The issue with food noise persists, but I'm managing to get my required protein, fats, and carbs daily, although some days are a struggle due to lack of appetite.

I've recently incorporated pickleball into my cardio routine, and I'm absolutely loving it!

Currently at my lowest weight in 20 years, I couldn't be happier. It's motivating me to work even harder towards my goal weight. I'm determined and proud of the changes in my body and physical appearance. This August marks 5 years since I embarked on my weight loss journey, and I'm incredibly proud of the person I've become.
